Crime Description

Agreement between two or more persons to bribe a public official in exchange for an official act (inchoate offense of conspiracy). Under U.S. law, an agreement to commit bribery can constitute criminal conspiracy even if the bribe is not ultimately paid, provided the conspirators shared the intent and took at least some step in furtherance of the plan.
