Crime Description

Installing hidden cameras and recording people in private spaces without their knowledge or consent violates state voyeurism and privacy statutes and can also run afoul of audio-recording/wiretapping laws (many U.S. jurisdictions prohibit recording private conversations or intimate activity without consent). Filming sexual activity without informed consent is a particularly serious form of unlawful voyeurism/illegal recording.
