Attempted Assault
Agreement to and attempt at forcibly restraining a person and removing clothing (conduct that would constitute assault and/or unlawful restraint and could be sexual assault depending on contact and intent).
Situation:
"When Dee resists showing what she's hiding under her coat, members of the Gang discuss and urge forcible action: lines include "Let me see what's under that coat... You want me to hold her down and rip it off her?" followed by "Go, Mac. Go, go, go." Dee says "Don't touch me." The exchange evidences a plan and attempt to forcibly remove her clothing without consent."
Theft (Attempted)
Attempted theft or appropriation of cash from the business register (taking money without authorization).
Situation:
"Dee demands cash from the register—"Just give me bucks from the register"—and is accused by the others of "sneaking around trying to steal money that you haven't earned." The transcript shows Dee asking for register cash and the others treating it as an attempted theft."
